This qualified individual will:
Perform collection of invoices and disputes for an account or portfolio of accounts, to ensure accounts receivable balance is current and compliant with corporate targets
Validate and process customer claims for dealer programs that have been offered by Marketing, including rebates, allowances, instant rebates, spiffs, price protection, MDF, and Volume Incentive Rebates
Validate and process customer claims for various reasons, including returns, shortages, pricing discrepancies, etc.
Match customer deductions with credits to ensure related items are properly reconciled and closed out in the customer's AR balance
Ensure customers are invoiced correctly, including all manner of invoice communication (mail, EDI, web portals)
Communicate with customers in regards to any past due debits, claims, credits, and issues via email, external web portal, voice conference or customer visit
Work with internal departments, including Sales and Product Marketing, to understand details of customer programs and resolve customer discrepancies quickly and favorably
Develop business strategies to optimize/improve customer currency levels and achieve AR DSO targets set by management
Escalate issues to Credit and AR management as needed, and collaborate to resolve issues impacting overall AR
Oversee offshore teams performing back office transactions and processing, and ensure service levels, policy compliance, and work quality are acceptable.
Create and update standard operation procedures for training and operation consistency purposes
Identify, initiate and implement process improvement opportunity to optimize operation efficiency
P roviding excellent customer care through new technologies, continuous process improvement, and skill development while managing to SOX and internal audit requirements.
Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent
Must have 4 to 5 years of related experience
S AP R/3 experience is preferred
Previous experience in external customer order to cash process is required
Previous external accounts receivable management and customer chargeback processing experience is required
Analytical skills and prior audit experience helpful
Must demonstrate high attention to detail
Requires a results driven, self-motivated individual
M ust be able to work with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational and time management skills
E xcellent communication skills, including verbal and written, for internal and external customers required
Must have intermediate skills with Windows, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
