The Accounting organization ensures financial compliance, manages global financial results for external reporting, and provides financial statistics to the Corporation's Executive Team to aid in strategic business decisions. Management Associate - Accounting position is an entry-level role designed to help college graduates to prepare for future advancements and supervisory responsibilities within both the Plant and Headquarters environments. Management Associates are provided 24 months of training rotating across multiple functional areas with work assignments designed to accelerate their professional development. We look for individuals with Accounting and Finance undergraduate degrees to work in this area.

This challenging opportunity encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:

o Assignments within the Accounting Department, including Financial Analysis and Line-Side Accounting control functions.

o Interaction with the entire organization and specific functions of the Accounting and Finance departments.

o Exposure to the steel making manufacturing processes and associated financial controls; investigation of operating conditions, results, and their impact on financial performance.

o Analysis, development, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that further strengthen the overall efficiency, control, and accuracy of accounting processes.

o Development of financial forecasts through the analysis of past and present conditions, including guidance of operating personnel to maximize profitability of operating plans and activity levels.

o Analysis of actual operating costs and forecast deviations from revenue, cost, and overall plant specific and corporate profitability perspectives. Basic Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (with Accounting/Finance concentration) is required

o Must have at least a 3.5 GPA

o Must have less than one years of professional work experience
